FANTASIA

 

Gérard MATHOREL, Author-Photographer-Editor is glad to make you share his passion for Moroccan Fantasias. During several weeks, he travelled through Morocco, discovering the famed Fantasias and making contacts. He tries to make you share its secrets.   It is an original photographic work, enhanced with an exciting travel diary, fulfilled with tact and sensibility that he proposes. A surprising initiatic voyage that leads us to the multi-secular traditions of the ever magic Morocco.

 

 

The author, born in 1950 lived abroad during his whole youth. He spent ten years of his adolescence in Morocco. He attended the "Lycée Descartes" of Rabat, Prom 1969.

Student at the first school of photography in Toulouse - France - he became a disciple of Jean Dieuzaide, called "YANN", before settling himself in advertising photography, specialized in communication.

In 2004,working as a freelance, he specialized in high definition panoramic photography. He uses an UX 150 PRO NOBLEX© 6 x 12 roll-film camera. (He also practices assembling panoramic photography with the help of the Realviz Stitcher© program and NIKON© tools).

In this website the photographic work he shows you is quite different from his usual registre.

In his travel diary, rediscovering Moroccco and its secular traditions, he snaps and renders the instantaneous in an attempt to procure for the reader his emotions past and present. An approach really different from his usual practices : hours and hours studying and composing his panoramic pictures.

Action follows contemplation in a Morocco between modernism and ancestral.
